The Marine's Sunset Parade

 

The Marine Sunset Parade at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial July 11, 2023.

July 11, 2023--Washington, DC--For over 67 years, the marching and music units from the Marine Barracks in Washington, DC perform a musical tribute and honor guard demonstration in DC. They have a summer schedule where they perform at the steps of the Iwo Jima, the statue memorializes the famous photo made by Joe Rosenthal. Other locations, throughout the summer include the Marine Barracks and the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

Performing include "The President's Own" United States Marine Band, "The Commandant's Own" United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, esteemed United States Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon. 

The performance pays tribute to those whose "Uncommon valor was a common virtue."
