Build Up 

August 7-8--Boston, MA--DCP Productions for GEICO commercials with Boston Bruin Patrice Bergeron.  Doing production photography is exciting.  Each production provides something new and interesting.  Documenting the work helps to promote the production company and the production.  You have to work quickly and always stay out of the way.  You make friends with everyone on the set, politeness and understanding the need for speed since still photography is the last priority on production day.  It's a long day but lots of fun.

DCP Productions GEICO TSM

Russell and Team Solomid

June 20--Huntington Beach CA--DCP Productions created an episodic video with TSM's Team Solomid, TSM's New Neighbor   Episode 1   Episode 2

Made productions stills, but really enjoyed making these portraits of the team members.  The crew built an outside studio for this session.  All natural light with reflectors, all shot with a Nikon D810 and the Nikkor 85 f/1.8 or the Nikkor 35 f/1.4. This 7 individuals and team shot was done in between takes and had to go fast.  In and out in under 20 minutes.

May 23--Darlington, SC--DCP Productions for GEICO commercial with Casey Mears.  Big lights, when you work with the best crew, you have incredible situations.  Huge lights throughout the track, properly color balanced, made my job easier.

The length photographers go to get a photograph.  This image was made from the upper stands away from the video camera set-up.  Had to walk in total darkness through the stadium, under a tunnel....I know there were bats.....and walk up to the top level of the bleachers.  Wish those darn fence posts weren't there, but you get the idea of the Russian Arm capturing the Number 13 car.  Photographed with a Nikon D810 Nikkor 28-120mm  1/640 second.

After so many years photographing Casey,
 I think he has warmed up to the camera.

DCP GEICO NASCAR Casey Mears Part 1

May 22--Charlotte, NC--DCP Productions, GEICO commercial with Casey Mears and family.  "Daddy Turn Right."  You just have to laugh when you see the spot.  Just an amazing rig setup on the car, 3 cameras.  Photographing around cars,  its always safety first.
