April 22, 2015—Washington, DC—One great privilege as a
photographer is the meeting of extraordinary people. Dr. Norman C. Francis is such a person. The past president of Xavier University in
New Orleans, he led the institution for 47 years. His leadership provided many opportunities
for students and the people of New Orleans.
He is a leader in education and in 2006 he was awarded the Presidential
Medal of Freedom.
On this date a reception was held in the residence of
Senator Mary L. Landrieu to honor his service.

change positions nor can you get a better angle. Just wish I could have moved that plant. I still like this moment.)
