2007 Life is Sweet III

Stratford University School of Culinary and Hospitality Arts--Conner Mirt, Gregory Voldish, Sung Su, Joey Torda, Chef Glen Walden, Chef Susannah Lee, Ches James Sinopoli, Ched Ruth Lee Chef Paul Hutchinson

Virginia & Washington, DC--Best Buddies Virginia's Third Annual Life is Sweet photographs were a challenge. How do you photograph many of the chef pairs for the third time, in the same place, and make it look better than the previous times. What this event was designed to do was not only to provide opportunity to meet with the metropolitan area leading pastry chefs but to create lasting friendships. Arriving at each location, you could only notice how the two or as in the Stratford group shoot, the friendships have grown. You can see in the body language the comfort and truly caring feeling each person had for each other.

Best Buddies mission is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment. These images are to promote the Life is Sweet event where these chef pairs and about 10 others prepare and serve a unique desert especially prepared for this fundraiser. Over 400 guest at the Four Seasons Hotel got to sample and share in the festivities on November 13, 2007
